Get to Know You

  1. Which concepts do you teach? 

    Reshape, Reformer and sometimes dabble in Ride.

  2. How long have you been at 1Rebel? 

    4.5 years.

  3. What inspired you to become a trainer? 

    When I was around 15, I joined my mum on her weekly spin class, and I actually didn’t enjoy my first few sessions, but then I grew to LOVE it. To be completely honest, the instructor made the sessions such a joy, and moving to the beat was so satisfying that I think I decided there and then that I needed to do it.

  4. If you weren’t a fitness instructor, what would you be doing? 

    I’m actually an ex Musical Theatre graduate, so potentially, I’d be in that world of some sorts.

Training Philosophy

  1. Describe your training style in one sentence. 

    Science based, sensible and supportive.

  2. What’s the number 1 piece of advice you give new Rebels? 

    Meet yourself where you are on that day.

  3. How do you stay motivated on low-energy days? 

    I’ll check in with my cycle and my energy expenditure in terms of how many classes I’ve taught or how much I’ve trained that week, and most of the time I’m quite in tune with my body, so I would be taking a rest day/days anyway.

  4. What’s your post-class recovery ritual? 

    Food, food, fooooood, water and sleep. Keeping it simple.

  1. What’s one song that never leaves your playlist? 

    Anything Rufus Du Sol. OBVIOUSLY.

  2. What’s the vibe of your classes in 3 words? 

    Comfortably uncomfortable and safe

Lifestyle & Tips

  1. One wellness habit you swear by? 

    Recover harder than you train.

  2. What’s in your gym bag right now? 

    Water bottle, my book, straps, lip balm (x4), mints, Soreen, a pen, plasters, paracetamol, tissues, EpiPens, hand sanitiser, hydrating face spray, body spray, mic belt, muffs, hair brush, claw clip, more Soreen, hairbands, contact lens solution… What can I say? I’m ready for every situation.

  3. One myth about fitness you’d love to bust? 

    Healthy doesn’t have a look :)
