Meet the Trainers:HARRY SHEASBY
Get to Know You
Which concepts do you teach?
Reformer.
How long have you been at 1Rebel?
Since 2021 - and still sweating strong.
What inspired you to become a trainer?
Jodie, our Head of Fitness, pulled me into camp back in 2022 and said, “You can do this”. Three years later, here we are!
If you weren’t a fitness instructor, what would you be doing?
I graduated from drama school in 2020, right in the eye of the pandemic. If I wasn’t guiding people through movement, I’d love to be on set filming for screen, diving into all sorts of stories and characters.
Training Philosophy
Describe your training style in one sentence.
Helping Rebels to intuitively connect to their bodies through strength. What’s brittle breaks, what’s strong is easy to nourish.
What’s the number 1 piece of advice you give new Rebels?
I speak a lot - and for good reason. Tune into your own body, stay present, and trust you’re doing better than you think. And if you’re not? I’ll be there quicker than you can say teaser hold.
How do you stay motivated on low-energy days?
I drop into a slow, soul-nourishing somatic yoga flow, sip water all day long, and eat a rainbow of fresh fruit and veg.
What’s your post-class recovery ritual?
A delicious basic blueberry shake with extra coconut water!
Music & Vibe
What’s one song that never leaves your playlist?
Right now? Jamie xx & Honey Dijon’s - ‘Baddy On The Floor’ or ‘NUEVAYoL’ by Bad Bunny. Certified strut and shake bangers.
What’s the vibe of your classes in 3 words?
Re-energising. Empowering. Ass-whopping.
Throwbacks or new tracks?
New tracks to create new memories. Throwbacks to remind you of who you are. We need both.
What’s the one song that always gets the room fired up?
Charli XCX - Guess feat. Billie Eilish.
Lifestyle & Tips
One wellness habit you swear by?
Surrounding yourself with a community that feeds you in every way. Physically, emotionally and spiritually. Your circle is your sanctuary. This past year, I removed myself from social media and this by far was the healthiest thing I’ve learned, especially in an age where community feels less and less. It’s your job to build one and keep it alive.
What’s in your gym bag right now?
Babes, we pack light: mic muffs, grippy socks, a yoga mat and my Owala water bottle.
One myth about fitness you’d love to bust?
I can’t break myths, but I can tell you that if you were to unfold your lungs and lay flat all the individual alveoli (the tiny air sacs in your lungs), the resulting surface area would be comparable to a football field!
