Powering Through December

December hits different. Everything ramps up - the lights, the mince pies, the parties. And suddenly your calendar is completely booked up. Luckily for us, we’re all about living big. Big energy, big celebrations, big lifts. So when the Christmas season rolls in, we’re not here to tell you to slow down, but we are here to make sure you don’t burn out.

Come mid-December, the out-of-office replies start creeping in and social plans take over. The selection box becomes ‘breakfast’. And honestly? We’re not mad. Here’s how to power through December.

Adjust Your Routine, Don’t Abandon It

Your usual weekly grind might not fit perfectly and that’s okay. The key isn’t perfection; show up in whatever way works for you.

  • Swap heavy training weeks for maintenance mode

  • Shorten sessions - a 45-minute Ride is better than doing nothing

  • Swing by Reset when you need to sweat out mulled wine

  • Train at lunch time so you’re free for after-work festivities

Small, consistent actions keep you feeling strong, grounded, and ready to take on the season.

No Guilt.

This is your reminder that enjoying the festive season doesn’t cancel out your hard work. You’re not “off track.” You’re living your life.

Eat the mince pie. Drink the bucks fizz. Have 10 sausages in blankets. Move your body because you want to, not because you’re “making up” for anything.

And if the only movement you do over the festive period is a Christmas Day walk or dancing all night long on New Year’s Eve, that’s perfectly fine.

Keep Your Energy High

The festive period is intense - fun, but intense. Keeping movement in your week can make all the difference in:

  • Boosting your mood

  • Managing stress

  • Improving sleep (yes, even after late nights)

  • Keeping your metabolism firing

  • Helping you feel more you in a busy season

Think of your workouts as your anchor.

Make Training Part of the Fun

Why not?

  • Bring your mates to a session

  • Travelling to another part of London? Try a new 1Rebel while you’re there

  • We’re going big on the Christmas Rides

Whether you stay consistent or just dip in when you can, your body will thank you for every moment you choose to move. This Christmas, do it all: the parties, the workouts, the food, the rest. You deserve a season that feels good from start to finish.
